In early 2021, APG established the APG Direct Contracting Coalition to help organizations prepare for the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation’s (CMMI) initiation of the Global and Professional Direct Contracting (GPDC) models that began on April 1, 2021.

The Coalition will give organizations participating in these new direct contracting models an opportunity to exchange information and share best practices. Gary Jacobs, Executive Director of the VillageMD Center for Public Policy, and Rushika Fernandopulle, MD, CEO of Iora Health, are the co-chairs of the new Coalition.

Currently, there are 53 organizations participating in the CMMI Performance Year 2021 GPDC models that began April 1, 2021.

Participation in the Coalition is open to provider organizations that are participating in these Direct Contracting models, as well as those that are interested in participating. Coalition meetings will be held quarterly.

APG has worked hard to help our members prepare for the launch of these direct contracting models and we want to help ensure that you are successful. For information on joining the Coalition or upcoming meeting dates, please contact Shelley Robinette.
