Emerging Trends in Health Care

Emerging Trends in Health Care

Thursday, June 12, at 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm ET

You can register for the webinar here.

My guest will be Kavita Patel, MD.  Dr. Patel has a rich background in health and health policy, previously working at the Brookings Institution on health care reform and physician payment. Dr. Patel also served in the Obama Administration as director of policy for the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement in the White House, where she played a key role in the design of health care reform legislation.

Dr. Patel also has a deep understanding of Capitol Hill from her time spent on the late Senator Edward Kennedy’s staff. As deputy staff director on health, she served as a policy analyst and trusted aide to the Senator and was part of the senior staff of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee under Senator Kennedy’s Leadership.

We will discuss the next evolution of payment models in value-based models. Will we see more episodic payments, mandatory models or higher thresholds for achieving savings? These are the questions we will be discussing.

APG’s Emerging Trends in Health Care webinars are conversations with current national health care leaders about the trends they see beyond the horizon. No slides are permitted – just a candid conversation with leaders that will challenge our current perceptions of health care. You will definitely want to join these lively conversations!
