
Jerome Wang, MD is Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He has been serving administratively as Medical Director/CMO since 2017 for the St. Joseph and St. Jude Heritage Medical Group (SJJHMG) in north and central Orange County in partnership with Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Orange and Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton. Within this effective, integrated delivery system, the St. Joseph and St. Jude Heritage Medical group employs 375 physicians, 100+ NPs and PAs across 25 different medical and surgical specialties in a Foundation model and has a 30-year track record of successful performance in full-risk managed-care contracts, as well as value-based ACO agreements.
Prior to joining St. Jude Heritage Medical Group in 2016, Dr. Wang received his medical training at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and subsequent residency training in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (CSMC).
Starting in 2000, Dr. Wang served as faculty at Cedars-Sinai and UCLA, honing his leadership skills as a health system informatics leader, and Medical Director for the Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation in both the medical group and IPA space. Clinically, he grew a community-based practice as a part of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group. Academically, he has published several papers in healthcare informatics, quality, and safety, while being awarded the Golden Apple Teaching Award.
In the Providence Health System, he serves on a number of local, regional and system governance committees.
