WHAT IS THE RISK EVOLUTION TASK FORCE?
Now in its second year, APG’s Risk Evolution Task Force (RETF) is a learning collaborative dedicated to accelerating the value movement and developing the next iteration of Advanced Alternative Payment Models (Advanced APMs). APG and Task Force members are committed to the proliferation of accountable care that better utilizes resources through the delivery of high-quality, coordinated healthcare services to patients and communities.
Led by Co-Chairs and APG Members Niyum Gandhi (Mount Sinai) and Melanie Matthews (Physicians of Southwest Washington), the RETF also relies on Aneesh Chopra, MPP – President of CareJourney, former U.S. Chief Technology Officer, to assist members with data analytics.

WHAT DOES THE TASK FORCE DO?
The Risk Evolution Task Force offers physician groups engaged in two-sided risk models an opportunity to improve their performance in their current programs and influence the development of new models, including Direct Contracting. The Task Force focuses on the dual purpose of both supporting our members and improving current risk-based models and helping develop and prepare APG members for new models to come.
