WHAT IS THE RISK EVOLUTION TASK FORCE?
APG’s Risk Evolution Task Force is a learning collaborative dedicated to accelerating the value movement and developing the next iteration of Advanced Alternative Payment Models (Advanced APMs). APG and Task Force members are committed to the proliferation of accountable care that better utilizes resources through the delivery of high-quality, coordinated healthcare services to patients and communities.
Led by Co-Chairs and APG Members Niyum Gandhi (Mount Sinai) and Melanie Matthews (Physicians of Southwest Washington), the Risk Evolution Task Force will also rely on two subject matter experts who will assist members with data analytics and care transition planning:
WHAT DOES THE TASK FORCE DO?
The Risk Evolution Task Force offers physician groups engaged in two-sided risk models an opportunity to improve their performance in their current programs and influence the development of new models, including Direct Contracting. The Task Force will focus on the dual purpose of both supporting our members and improving current risk based models and helping develop and prepare APG members for new models to come.
HOW CAN I LEARN MORE ABOUT THE RISK EVOLUTION TASK FORCE?
APG’s Vice President of Federal Affairs, Valinda Rutledge, will lead the advocacy portion of the Task Force and coordinate outreach.
