Coronavirus Update

America’s Physician Groups (APG) is closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the United States. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the immediate risk of being exposed to this virus is still low for most Americans, but as the outbreak expands, that risk will increase. Cases of COVID-19 and instances of community spread are being reported in a growing number of states.

APG Annual Conference 2020
The APG Annual Conference 2020 The Value Movement Grows Up: What’s Next?, May 28-30 at the Marriott Marquis in San Diego is proceeding as scheduled. However, the health, safety, and well-being of the APG community are our highest priority. We will continue to monitor state and federal guidance and act accordingly.
Below, please find important health and safety tips to help mitigate COVID-19.
Safety Onsite at Annual Conference 2020
We are recommending the following to ensure the safety of all attendees:
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow. Throw used tissues in the trash.
- Acknowledge each other with a head nod, wave and smile instead of a handshake.
- Use the hand sanitizing stations located throughout the Marriott Marquis San Diego.
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (or while singing the “Happy Birthday” song twice).
If you show symptoms of flu-like illness before coming to the event, we would be happy to substitute your registration with one of your co-workers. Attendees will get a link to the presentations on audio (breakouts) and video (general sessions), and your colleagues may share this link with you, in the event you’re too sick to attend.
