APG Educational Series

In 2016, America’s Physician Groups (APG) started a partnership with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) by co-branding and co-producing a six-part webinar series (scroll down for archived sessions). America’s Physician Groups’ educational program focused on the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA)’s Quality Payment Program (QPP) with specific emphasis on categories in quality, advancing care information, improvement activities, advanced alternative payment models, and cost. The webcasts included diverse APG speakers along with CMS medical directors and expert agency specialists, talking about the perspectives most relevant to them as they relate to MACRA and the implementation of QPP.

Here at APG, we make a commitment to leading the pillar of excellence around education for our members. As such, we teamed up with CMS for physicians and physician groups implementing MACRA, focusing on the Merit Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and alternative payment models (APMS). We hosted sessions that combined CMS expertise on the regulation’s content with America’s Physician Groups’ members’ knowledge of how clinicians are responding on the ground to these important changes and care models.

This year, we’re introducing APG’s Educational Series 2019, focusing on the proposed direct contracting models from The Innovation Center.

America’s Physician Groups (APG) is pleased to present a new complimentary webinar series this year for physicians and physician groups participating in the Primary Cares Initiative, specifically the Direct Contracting Models. Through a co-branding agreement with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the sessions combine the Innovation Center’s expertise on the regulation content with APG members’ knowledge of the competencies needed to be successful in the new direct contracting models. APG members will share the know-how necessary to operate risk-based contracts successfully.

Each session will include Q&A time with the presenters. We believe the webinars will be a valuable resource to help you successfully participate in the Primary Cares Initiative.
