America’s Physician Groups (APG) is saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Frank Meza, former APG Board Chair and a leader in the medical community. For nearly fifty years, Dr. Meza created programs and launched organizations to help eliminate health disparities in California, and to improve opportunities for Latino students in the health professions. Today, thousands of Latino physicians practice in testimony of his tireless efforts. These programs will continue on into the future, and his advocacy for the concept of high-quality care for all populations will continue to touch millions of patients, even long after his death.
