Rajesh Shrestha serves as Chief Executive Officer of Castell, an Intermountain Healthcare company and Chief Operating Officer for Intermountain Healthcare, Community Based Care.  In this role he is responsible for $5bn P/L and operations of a portfolio of enterprise business lines including the Intermountain Medical Group (200+ clinics), Intermountain at Home (including Homecare, Hospice/Palliative Care, Hospital at Home), Senior Services, Retail and Wellness clinics, affiliated provider groups and Population Health Management. In addition, his portfolio also includes serving as President, Intermountain Healthcare Nevada where he led the aqusition and integration of Healthcare Partners Nevada. He is responsible for all risk and value based business across Intermountain and the associated financial performance. He is also responsible for optimizing patient outcomes and managing total cost of care through effective population health management and seamless integration across Intermountain’s entire care continuum. Raj also helps lead exploration and deployment of new care models, including Intermountain Healthcare’s focus on digital health, Telehealth, and Connect Care Pro virtual hospital services.

Raj also founded and launched Castell, which is a health platform company focused on providing value based care services through a number of unique mechanisms including care delivery models, technology and new innovative concepts leveraging both Intermountain intellectual property and new product development.  Part of the platform includes a new care model called Re-imagine Primary Care (RPC) which has deleivered stellar results in multi-product and multi-payer risk scenarios. Castell currently covers over 800k risk lives.

Prior to joining Intermountain Healthcare, Raj spent nearly a decade at Cigna, where he held multiple P/L roles most recently as Senior Vice President and General Manager of CareAllies, a Cigna-company focused on value based care, where he was a founding member. Before this, he led the Cigna Healthcare of Arizona Medicare Advantage Plan to a 5 Star Medicare Plan Rating. Raj held other leadership positions including Cigna Onsite Health and Cigna International where he led Global Care Delivery Strategy and helped launch international joint ventures and partnerships as well as market entry opportunities. Prior to joining Cigna, he spent more than a decade working closely with health plans and providers as well as state and federal agencies to set up quality programs, value-based purchasing, and network arrangements. Raj attended the University of Pennsylvania and is an alumnus of the University of California-Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
