Dr. Dixon currently serves as our Chief Medical Officer, Clinician Experience for Optum Health and as our Associate Chief Medical Officer of Optum Massachusetts. Previously she has served as the Chief Medical Officer at Atrius Health since August 2022. In addition, she continues to serve as the Executive Medical Director of Clinical Affairs and has led the team at Atrius Health focused on Clinician Wellness and Professional Affairs since 2016. She first joined the practice as an OB/GYN physician in 2006. In 2008, she left to pursue her passion for leadership as the Medical Director of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts. Dr. Dixon returned to Atrius Health in 2012 as the Site Medical Director for our Wellesley location.
Dr. Dixon is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed her clinical training and served as the Chief Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
As shown through her leadership roles and clinical work, Dr. Dixon truly has a passion for supporting and empowering individuals through changes in their lives. Outside of work, Dr. Dixon enjoys spending time with her husband Ryan and their 2 energetic boys. She can be found in various hockey rinks across Massachusetts, coaching one of her kid’s teams or playing herself. She is also a passionate animal activist and is a longtime volunteer walking dogs at her local MSPCA shelter. Although she would like to bring home every dog she meets, Ryan has helped her keep that number to 2 dogs at home in addition to 12 chickens.
