Ashish is responsible for the development and implementation of population health management strategies that support Summit-Health and VillageMD’s success in value-based care. His work focuses on delivery of the highest quality of care, reduction in practice variation, elimination of inequity, and evidence-based clinical care delivery.
Prior to joining Summit, Ashish was the Senior Health and Quality Advisor for Integrated Health Services at IBM where he implemented programs to improve health, wellness, and benefits design for employees globally. Before IBM, Ashish served as the Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Saint Barnabas Medical Center.
Ashish went to the University of Miami for both undergraduate and medical education as part of the Honors Program in Medical Education. He completed residency in Internal Medicine at the Miriam Hospital, Brown University. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, is board certified in Internal Medicine, and continues to practice as a primary care internal medicine physician at Summit Medical Group, New Jersey. He is an avid pun and dad-joke enthusiast.
