
Bethany Porterfield is a transformational healthcare executive with over 15 years of progressive leadership in value-based care, clinically integrated networks (CINs), and population health strategy. As the Chief Administrative Officer of Triad HealthCare Network (THN), Bethany will lead the strategic, operational, and financial performance of Cone Health’s CIN, advancing its mission to deliver high-quality, cost-effective care across the region.
Prior to her current role, Bethany served as Director of Operations for Cone Health’s Value-Based Care Institute (VBCI), where she unified system-level functions across Population Health, Quality, Digital Health, and Community Health. She spearheaded enterprise-wide restructuring of CIN support services. She assisted with the early implementation of the Risant Health Value-Based Platform—laying the groundwork for THN’s next era of accountable care delivery.
Bethany also served in key leadership roles within Triad HealthCare Network, including Assistant Director of ACO Operations and Embedded Care Coordination. Her ability to align people, data, and strategy has streamlined operations and increased provider engagement across the network.
Earlier in her career, Bethany held leadership positions at MedCost and Cornerstone Healthcare, where she managed payer strategy, M&A integration, and clinical operations. Her experience spans ambulatory operations, performance-based incentives, care model redesign, and board-level engagement, making her uniquely positioned to lead THN through the continued evolution of value-based care.
Bethany holds dual Master’s Degrees in Health Administration and Business Administration from Pfeiffer University. She is known for her operational rigor, data-driven innovation, and collaborative leadership approach that builds trust and drives results.
