Donna J. Mills served for 18 years as Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Centers, overseeing 2,000-plus employees in support of a 500-physician multispecialty medical group practice. Nationally recognized for superior clinical practices, Sharp Rees-Stealy is an integrated system that includes four acute care hospitals, three specialty hospitals, a health plan, and ancillary entities. Ms. Mills was influential in developing Sharp Rees-Stealy as an early pioneer in risk-bearing arrangements and delivery networks. For over 35 years, the medical group has been incentivized by health plan–capitated and delegated risk-bearing contracts to design high-quality, low-cost care models. Under Ms. Mills’s leadership, the organization has received numerous care quality and business acumen accolades. Prior to joining Sharp Rees-Stealy in 1998, Ms. Mills had a successful career in medical group practice leadership.
