Beth Mahler is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for the MemorialCare Medical Foundation, the physician division of the not-for-profit MemorialCare integrated health care delivery system serving Southern California. In her role as CMO, Dr. Mahler leads the advancement of high value health care delivery across the MemorialCare network of 110 primary care physicians and over 700 contracted or employed specialist physicians spanning 200 ambulatory care sites and five acute care hospitals.
Dr. Mahler brings over two decades of distinguished leadership in clinical integration, value-based care and health system transformation. A board-certified internist, she has held senior executive roles across leading health systems in Northern California, most recently serving as interim chief medical officer at Alameda Health System serving Alameda County. Her prior leadership includes serving as chief clinical officer for value-based care at John Muir Health. At Sutter Health, Dr. Mahler held multiple system-level roles, including vice president of clinical integration and chief medical officer of Sutter Care at Home, where she championed population health management, clinical integration, care model innovation, clinical variation reduction and patient-family engagement strategies.
