Eugene Kim, MD is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for our Southern California medical groups and affiliate networks, where he ensures that the region operates efficiently in partnership with physician leaders across the region. He also provides the essential work of empowering our physicians in how our care is delivered, increasing the success of each practice, and continuing to increase engagement among our providers. Dr. Kim is passionate about delivering value-based care to the community, in-line with the Providence mission to serve all, especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Kim received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles California. He is a member of the American Association for Physician Leadership and the Society of Hospital Medicine and has been practicing a combination of medicine and administrative leadership roles since 2009.
