Grace Davis

As Sutter Health’s first Chief External Affairs Officer, Grace Davis leads the comprehensive external affairs strategy that builds on Sutter Health’s strong community ties and not-for-profit mission to improve health and well-being through compassionate, excellent healthcare services.

In her role, Grace oversees the government policy and regulatory division, community benefits and external affairs work across the entire health system.

Sutter Health cares for over 3 million people in the United States. Approximately 1 in 100 Americans receive their care from Sutter’s integrated network. Sutter Health’s integrated network consists of 22 hospitals, more than 30 outpatient surgery centers, and multiple urgent care and walk-in clinics.
In May of 2017, Ms. Davis joined Sutter Health from Intel Corporation, where she spent the last 17 years in a series of leadership roles within the company. Her most recent role was leading Intel’s Public Affairs organization, worldwide. In this role, she directed a global operation focused on government affairs, media/press relations, education, community relations and corporate volunteerism at the company’s major site locations.

Before joining Intel, Ms. Davis served as the executive director for TechAmerica, now part of CompTIA, where she managed a council consisting of 900 high-tech companies. She also spent time on Capitol Hill as a press secretary and legislative director.

A Bay Area native, Ms. Davis has served on multiple boards of directors, including GlobalWin, the Bay Area Council, California Manufacturers and Technology Association, United Way of Sacramento, Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce and Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce, which she chaired in 2014. She was recognized in 2013 by the Sacramento Business Journal as one of its “Women who Mean Business” honorees.
