Kevin Manemann

Kevin Manemann is chief executive of Providence Southern California, the region’s largest health care delivery network and part of the third largest not-for-profit health system in the United States, based on $8 billion in revenue. Southern California is Providence’s largest region and covers Los Angeles and Orange counties and the High Desert communities of San Bernardino County.

As chief executive, Kevin leads a team of 31,000 caregivers and approximately 6,844 physicians on staff at its 11 hospitals. Regional services also include 11 ambulatory care sites, 38 urgent care centers, 28 Express Care clinics, 186 physician offices, TrinityCare Hospice and its TrinityKids Care pediatric hospice, home health services and a community health investment team that addresses needs in underserved neighborhoods.

Under Kevin’s leadership, the Southern California region is transforming the patient and caregiver experience by delivering on the Providence Promise – Know me, care for me, ease my way. When caregivers and providers live our Mission, patients will experience compassionate and empathic care, and caregivers and providers will feel valued and appreciated for who they are and what they do. The region is also focused on making health care simple through patient journey mapping that reflect the communities we serve.

Kevin’s focus on achieving the quadruple aim and transforming care delivery through population health strategies align our high-performing clinically integrated network (CIN) and Clinical Institutes. The intersection of the CIN and Institutes drives quality outcomes at a lower cost of care, enabling a better, value-based way to serve Southern California communities. As one of Providence’s largest managed care populations in the system, the Southern California region is positioned to be an industry leader in the population health space.

The focus on continual efforts to improve quality, safety, patient experience, caregiver and provider satisfaction, and operational performance has resulted in national honors for overall quality care, as well as for individual key specialties including cancer, cardiovascular, orthopedics, women’s services and neurosciences. Three of the region’s hospitals were the only hospitals in California to be named by Modern Healthcare in 2021 among the nation’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare. Three hospitals made Healthgrades America’s Top Hospitals lists for 2022. A key contributor to community benefit across the region, Providence Southern California consistently contributes more than $350 million in charity care and neighborhood programs annually to serve vulnerable populations.

Prior to his current role, Kevin was chief executive of the Physician Enterprise, leading more than 10,000 providers and 25,000 caregivers within Providence. Kevin received a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University, a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa, and is Black Belt-certified in Toyota’s LEAN model. He is originally from Iowa and currently resides in Carlsbad, California with his wife and three children. He enjoys fishing, golf and, as a life-long fan, tries to catch a Cubs game whenever he can.
