Matt DoBias

Matt DoBias serves as the Vice President of Congressional Affairs for America’s Physician Groups (APG), a national professional association of more than 335 medical groups and independent practice associations that deliver patient-centered, high-quality care to nearly 90 million patients across the United States. Matt focuses primarily on legislative policies that advance accountable, value-driven care and risk-based based payments in Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid and across the commercial markets. He joined APG in 2022.

Matt is a former health care reporter who previously served as the Washington Bureau Chief for Modern Healthcare, and as a senior reporter for both National Journal and Politico. In 2012 he joined the PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he provided client-based legislative and regulatory analysis. Additionally, he served as a senior policy analyst at the boutique consulting firm, Health Policy Source Inc. Most recently, Matt served as an associate director of external affairs at the Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP), where he advocated on behalf of provider-aligned health plans.
