Niyum Gandhi is the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Population Health Officer of the Mount Sinai Health System. In this role, he oversees the finance departments for Mount Sinai’s hospitals, medical school, and corporate functions, as well as the organization’s overall clinical and economic transformation towards population health.
Niyum joined Mount Sinai in 2015 in the newly created role of Chief Population Health Officer. While in that role, he built Mount Sinai Health Partners, a clinically integrated network that is responsible for aligning the clinical and economic transformations necessary for Mount Sinai to achieve its vision of being the leading population health manager in the competitive New York market. Additionally, he built Mount Sinai Solutions, a business focused on partnering with employers and other plan sponsors to improve the value of care their members receive.
Prior to his position at Mount Sinai, Niyum served as a Partner in the Health and Life Sciences consulting practice of Oliver Wyman, where he focused on financial planning, value-based health care, and transformation strategies for hospitals, physician groups, and health plans. Niyum holds an A.B. in economics and finance from Harvard University.
