| Remí de la Rocha is the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AltaMed Health Network (AHN), a role he has held since its inception. A key architect of healthcare network expansion, Remí first joined AltaMed Health Services Corporation in 2007 to establish its initial Independent Physician Association (IPA). Under his leadership, this IPA has flourished, now serving approximately 100,000 lives across Los Angeles and Orange Counties, supported by over 200 primary care physicians and 1,800 specialists.
Remí’s strategic vision has been instrumental in the remarkable growth of AltaMed’s Managed Care Program, which expanded from 40,000 lives in 2007 to an impressive 373,000 lives in 2026. He was pivotal in the development and launch of AHN as a Restricted Knox Keene entity. Since its launch on January 1, 2020, with 50,000 lives, AHN’s membership has soared to 3280,000 in 2026. Further demonstrating his forward-thinking leadership, AHN is slated to launch its Medicare entity, AltaMed Health Network Senior Services Plan, Inc., in 2027.
In addition to his executive role at AHN, Remí also oversees AltaMed’s Management Service Organization, Altura Management Services Organization, serving as VP, Managed Care. In this capacity, he leads critical departments including Provider Oversight, Credentialing, Customer Call Center, Health Plan Operations, and all facets of Health Plan, Hospital, Ancillary, and Provider Contracting. Through Altura, Remí supports a combined membership of 1,000,000 lives across a diverse client portfolio, including AltaMed Health Services, AltaMed Health Network, Family Choice Medical Group, Golden Physicians Medical Group, OmniCare Medical Group, LaSalle Medical Group, and KPC Health.
Remí began his distinguished healthcare career at L.A. Care Health Plan, where he spent seven years in grassroots marketing and played a crucial role in establishing L.A. Care’s direct networks for Medi-Cal and Health Families.
