Ross Laursen is Privia Health’s SVP of Health Care Economics. He oversees all medical economics and value based care (VBC) financial analytics, including for the MSSP program. Ross leads teams focused on population health analytics, VBC program performance and forecasting, payor analytics, risk adjustment measurement and provider funds distributions. Prior to Privia Health, Ross spent 18 years as a vice president at Premera Blue Cross, providing actuarial and analytic support for Premera’s provider management and network development activities. He stood up several strategic functions at Premera including risk adjustment analytics and architecture of Premera’s value based contracting. Ross was also formerly a consulting actuary at Milliman, focusing on managed care topics. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Pacific Lutheran University.
