Diabetes and Hypertension

Diabetes and hypertension are serious health conditions which impact the lives of millions of Americans.  According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 34.2 million US adults have diabetes, and 1 in 5 of them don’t know they have it.  Diabetes is the seventh leading cause of death in the United States.

The CDC also notes that having hypertension puts people at risk for heart disease and stroke, which are leading causes of death in the United States.

As part of our members’ commitment to improving the health of the populations they serve, America’s Physician Groups is excited to share new pocket guides to reflect updated guidelines around diabetes and hypertension.
